Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. Trains for Charity Campaign in New York City

Detroit Business Consulting is less than two weeks away from launching a new nonprofit division to the company! Our portfolio of clients typically focuses on Fortune 100 and 500 companies and we are proud to begin working with Children International, a nonprofit company that specializes in helping children and families that live in poverty. Even though Detroit Business Consulting has always been involved with philanthropic work and has done volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen and Donate Life, we are excited about the opportunity to make a significant difference in people’s lives on a daily basis.

Our team will be in New York City for the next two weeks to perfect their stills on the charity campaign and will be back in Metro Detroit to launch the campaign in Michigan on April 29th. Have fun guys!

Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. Supports Camp Quality

Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. helped support Camp Quality last week at their event at Buffalo Wild Wings in Troy.  Upon request, a portion of the sales from last Wednesday went toward Camp Quality.  Camp Quality helps provide children with cancer with year-round programs, experiences and companionship at no cost to the families. It began 30 years ago in Sydney, Australia and is now a program in 19 countries.

Detroit Business Consulting's account manager, Jessica Hoopfer, is involved with Camp Quality and she initiated Detroit Business Consulting's involvement in the non-profit organization.  Detroit Business Consulting is also launching their first charity campaign in 3 weeks and Jessica will be helping to lead that campaign.

Thanks to everyone who came out Wednesday to support Camp Quality!

Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. Promotes Laura Bolter to Assistant Management

Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. promoted Laura Bolter to assistant management yesterday!  This is an impressive accomplishment within the company because it requires the mastery of many skills, including training, interviewing, sales and personal development.  Laura's path to assistant management was very short, considering she only started working with the company in late August of 2012.  Since Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. operates on a merit-based system of advancement, Laura's determination and natural ease with working with the public helped her hit her goal of assistant management very quickly.

Laura had little experience in sales and marketing before taking on her position as an Account Manager with Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. She received her degree in communication from Oakland University and was able to apply her communication skills to her new position at our company.  Since being promoted, Laura will learn more of the office management side of the business and continue to develop her skills in the sales and marketing field.  After her promotion, Laura said, "I'm most excited about the next step and continued growth and I'm going to have with the company, as well as having a direct hand in helping other people reach their own personal and professional goals."  We are all excited for your next step too Laura!

Detroit Business Consulting Attends Lions Game for Office Competition

Detroit Business Consulting's president Michael Rosenberg had a competition for the office last week for a chance to go to the Detroit Lions game.  Among the winners of the competition was Jesse Foley. Jesse said, "The game was really fun and it was a great experience for me to bond with my boss and my coworkers!"

Detroit Business Consulting also just wrapped up their 12 Days of Turkeys and Trees competition which encompassed the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays.  Prizes for this competition included an iPad, a 42" TV, a new suit or pair of shoes, a day in the office with the management team, and of course a cardboard cut-out was in the mix of prizes too. Office competitions give us a chance to work hard, be rewarded, and have some fun while doing it!

Detroit Business Consulting Celebrates 2012!

It's hard to believe that 2012 is almost over!  We have one more month to hit our goals before setting new ones for 2013.  Looking back at the year, Detroit Business Consulting owner Michael Rosenberg celebrated his 5 year anniversary of running his company, our firm took on two new clients and have built strong relationships with them, and Detroit Business Consulting was named Metro Detroit's 5th Place to Work by the Detroit Free Press! As a company, we were fortunate enough to be able to give back to the community by supporting events like the Algonac Athletic Fundraising Event, as well as the Susan G. Koman Fund.

This past year has been an eventful one, and Detroit Business Consulting is excited about the adventures that 2013 has in store!

Detroit Business Consulting Raises Money for Susan G. Komen Foundation

Detroit Business Consulting celebrated breast cancer awareness month by hosting our Passionately Pink Week last week.  This is the second year that we have hosted Passionately Pink Week in our office. We went all out- the website was "pinked out" with our pink logo, breast cancer ribbons all over the website, and each page had a pink theme.  Everyone in the office wore pink on Thursday, and we all sported pink breast cancer bracelets.

Everyone at Detroit Business Consulting could show their support by wearing pink last week, but we also had another way to support the foundation.  Detroit Business Consulting's owner Michael Rosenberg announced on Monday that he would make a $20 donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation each day for every person that hit their sales goals for the day.  Michael committed to making that donation for every person, every day last week.  Thanks to everyone for your support in making out Passionately Pink Week a success!
