Detroit Business Consulting Networks in Indianapolis
Detroit Business Consulting spent the weekend in Indianapolis where we attended a conference with fellow sales and marketing professionals from the Midwest. After an evening of networking on Saturday evening, we spent Sunday in downtown Indianapolis listening to entrepreneurs speak about their experiences with running a business, best practices and ways to effectively grow one's business. There was a wide variety of speakers at the conference, including Detroit Business Consulting's president Michael Rosenberg, as well as entrepreneurs from Macedonia, Paris and a consultant that has companies in Canada, Brazil and the United States. It was definitely a learning experience for everyone there! Our next conference will be at the end of July in Philadelphia.
Individuals were also recognized in front of the entire conference for their outstanding performance in the office. Congratulations to Anthony Luckow and Nicole Lysak for their awards. This is an impressive honor and we are very excited for their continued success in business!

Detroit Business Consulting President, Michael Rosenberg, just returned from The Big Apple where he was speaking at a conference for sales, marketing and nonprofit professionals from around the country. Michael was asked to speak about how to effectively build momentum and growth within a company. The event also provided him with the opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs from around the world, including national directors from the London, Australia, and the U.S.
"It was an amazing learning experience for me and I'm more excited than ever before about the future of Detroit Business Consulting. It's so motivating to surround yourself with other entrepreneurs who are passionate about the sales and marketing business. Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. Promotes Laura Bolter to Assistant Management
Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. promoted Laura Bolter to assistant management yesterday! This is an impressive accomplishment within the company because it requires the mastery of many skills, including training, interviewing, sales and personal development. Laura's path to assistant management was very short, considering she only started working with the company in late August of 2012. Since Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. operates on a merit-based system of advancement, Laura's determination and natural ease with working with the public helped her hit her goal of assistant management very quickly.
Laura had little experience in sales and marketing before taking on her position as an Account Manager with Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. She received her degree in communication from Oakland University and was able to apply her communication skills to her new position at our company. Since being promoted, Laura will learn more of the office management side of the business and continue to develop her skills in the sales and marketing field. After her promotion, Laura said, "I'm most excited about the next step and continued growth and I'm going to have with the company, as well as having a direct hand in helping other people reach their own personal and professional goals." We are all excited for your next step too Laura!

Detroit Business Consulting Attends Lions Game for Office Competition
Detroit Business Consulting's president Michael Rosenberg had a competition for the office last week for a chance to go to the Detroit Lions game. Among the winners of the competition was Jesse Foley. Jesse said, "The game was really fun and it was a great experience for me to bond with my boss and my coworkers!"
Detroit Business Consulting also just wrapped up their 12 Days of Turkeys and Trees competition which encompassed the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays. Prizes for this competition included an iPad, a 42" TV, a new suit or pair of shoes, a day in the office with the management team, and of course a cardboard cut-out was in the mix of prizes too. Office competitions give us a chance to work hard, be rewarded, and have some fun while doing it!
